Our top pick this week is Lily and Cane’s reunion at Jimmy’s bar. You could feel their connection right through the television, a great moment. Glad to see Cane listened to Mac’s advice and decided to stay. Cane still needs to keep his guard up, Neil isn’t close to forgiving him.

Our worst pick, Adam “seeing” Mary Jane at the Newman ranch. For the most part, the Y&R writer’s are pretty sharp. But come on, Adam is blind!

Cane convinces Lily to go back to the hospital. She told him before her cancer diagnosis, she thought she was pregnant with their child. Cane is devastated but tells her she needs to get herself well before she can do anything else. He reminds her of all the people in her life that love her and need her, including himself. She concedes and returns to the hospital. One would think Neil would be grateful Cane brought his daughter back, instead shoots Cane dagger eyes. Maybe someday Neil will come around, but it doesn’t look like it will be anytime soon. Later Katherine sees Cane and Phillip at Jimmy’s bar. She ignores Phillip but thanks Cane for getting Lily back to the hospital. Olivia tells Neil the tests indicate Lily’s cancer has spread and she will probably need a complete hysterectomy.

Amber struggles with the decision to sleep with Deacon so he will hand over the evidence she needs to clear Daniel, or be loyal to Daniel knowing his fate will be sealed. She opts to sleep with Deacon. The shrewed Mr. Sharpe calls the jail, asks for Daniel and leaves the phone off the hook so Daniel can hear Amber’s romp with Deacon. Daniel is heartbroken.

Billy and Mac have the forethought to turn off their phones and focus on their long awaited reunion. They reflect back on their teenage years and are thrilled they can be together again.

In the meantime, Chloe tries to get to know Chance (Phillip IV) a little better. He opens up and tells her he is still a virgin. Chloe is dumbfounded. She can’t believe this big, strapping soldier has never had a love life. With that, she kisses him. There may be a Chancellor in Chloe’s future after all.

Mac befriends Cane and encourages him to stay in Genoa City. He thanks her for letting him stay at Billy’s trailer, unaware Billy doesn’t know. Later, Billy is shocked to find Cane in his new love shack and throws him out.

Lily feels like she is being ganged up on by her loved ones. They want her to have the surgery done today, she wants to wait and have her eggs frozen first.  She is so overwhelmed she leaves the hospital. She looks for Cane everywhere. Her last stop is at Jimmy’s bar where she finds Billy. Understanding her plight, he tells her he will help her find Cane. Just then, Cane walks into the bar and they embrace.

Jack dotes on Sharon and she feels guilty about lying to everyone about her baby’s paternity but convinces herself she made the right decision. When Jack goes back to Sharon’s suite, he discovers a box outside her door with a broken baby doll in it. Jack realizes this must be Mary Jane’s handy work. He tries to convince Sharon to move back to the Abbott Mansion with him. She declines, so he books the suite next to hers.

At the Newman Ranch Adam and Heather share in a little afternoon delight. As Heather is leaving Adam’s room, she runs into Rafe. He is surprised to see her there, but once in Adam’s room, he is able to sum up what just happened. Adam told Rafe he was confused about his sexuality but knows now that he is not gay. Rafe realizes Adam was just using him.

Nikki stops by to see Victor. She told him Adam is gay. Knowing Adam’s relationship with Heather, Victor seems a little confused but does not doubt his ex-wife. When he went up to Adam’s bedroom he sees Rafe leave. He then has a heart-to-heart with his son concerning his sexuality. Adam feels for the first time his father has some sympathy for him and doesn’t deny Victor’s accusations.

Nikki later runs into Heather at the coffee house where she tries to tell her about Adam’s sexuality. Heather will not listen to anything Nikki has to say and walks away. Rafe comes in and also tries to speak with Heather about Adam, advising her that Adam is bad news.

Daniel is loosing his mind in jail trying to figure out who is setting him up and why. Michael pleads with Heather to help him get Daniel out on bail. She told him her hands are tied. Amber assures Daniel she will get him out of this mess. Later she meets with Deacon, knowing he is responsible for Daniel’s troubles. He has a recording of Balfourt that indicates Daniel was set up. What does he want in return? Amber in bed, right then and there. If she doesn’t accept his offer, the evidence disappears. What will Amber do?

Paul and Nikki tell Nick and Phyllis there is no history of Mary Jane prior to her arrival in Genoa City. Paul is going to be shocked when he learns Mary Jane is his sister. He relates this information to Victor, and Victor wants to put “his own people” on the investigation. Paul, not realizing Victor is behind Mary Jane’s masquerade, has already done much of the leg work and tells Victor he will still continue his investigation. Victor offers a reward for the arrest of Mary Jane. Ashley asks Adam to be the baby’s godfather. He realizes he doesn’t like the situation he has created and sets off his ankle bracelet to alert the authorities to come to the ranch. He tells detective Gil he thought there was a woman on the Newman grounds. They find Mary Jane’s things in the potting shed, but no Mary Jane. Victor, of course is grateful, and allows Adam to remain at the ranch.

Phyllis and Nick are struggling with Summer’s recovery. Phyllis receives a phone call from Amber telling her Daniel is in jail. She leaves Summer with Nick to see her son.

The newly single Billy Joel has a new sweetheart, former Y&R actress Alex Donnelley. Alex played the role of Diane Jenkins. The two met after Joel’s concert with Elton John in Washington DC. I guess Diane won’t be returning to Genoa City any time soon with Jack’s son Kyle. In the meantime we hope the happy couple enjoy their new found love.

Colleen’s lapse of sobriety and judgement comes back to haunt her. Her display of “flashing her girls” at Jimmy’s bar is all over the Internet. Victoria is appalled that a Newman board member would do such a thing and demands Colleen come to Newman headquarters right away. Victoria shows the video to Victor, he has just what he needs. When Colleen arrives at Newman, Victor removes her from the Newman board.

Amber is just about to tell Daniel about her past with Deacon when Deacon walks in. He shows them both a picture of his son Eric. Years ago in Los Angeles, Amber helped raise Eric. I think it’s the first time since Amber has been in Genoa City that she is speechless. She follows Deacon back to his hotel suite and demands to know what he wants from her. He wants her. She is not a willing participant and storms out. With that, Deacon calls the police with an anonymous tip to search Daniel’s apartment. They arrive with warrant in hand and discover the forged Terroni. Daniel is arrested.

Lily is struggling with her diagnosis. Billy and Colleen are trying to lift her spirits. Mac tracks down Cane and begs him not to leave Genoa City.  He feels if he visits Lily he will only make things worse and the best thing for everyone is for him to leave town. Mac tells him Colleen is going to need him. Now is the time to live up to his wedding vows. He agrees not to leave  but does not want to go back to his apartment. Mac invites him to stay at Murphy’s trailer. He asks her to do one thing for him before she goes to the hospital. When she sees Lily she brings her all of her favorite movies she watched with Cane.

It has been confirmed that Michelle Stafford, aka Phyllis Newman, has renewed her contract with The Young and the Restless. Great news for fans of Genoa City’s favorite beautiful red head. Do you think Phyllis and Nick will reconcile or will she find her way back to Jack?

As Billy celebrates his birthday with Chloe, Delia and Jill, Mac enters and acts surprised it’s Billy’s birthday. Billy told Phillip he can relate to him running away from Genoa City, he did the same thing. He told him he only went to Hong Kong not heaven. Later, Chance and Chloe spend a little time together and Chloe turns on the charm.  Billy asks Mac to meet him at Murphy’s old trailer. He bought himself a birthday present…a love shack! Unfortunately their reunion is interrupted again by a phone call from Colleen telling Billy Lily has cancer.

Kevin meets with Michael to discuss copywriting his Silver Chipmunk idea. Michael is on board but Jana has other plans. She feels if Kevin makes a profit from other people’s troubles, he needs to donate the money to charity. Michael, the ever busy Geneo City attorney, also has a meeting with Jill. She asks him to change her will. She wants all three of her sons included, Phillip, Billy and Cane.

In 24 hours Lily went from thinking she was pregnant to finding out she has Ovarian cancer. She knows she needs Cane now and tried to call him, the call went to his voicemail and he did not respond. Later Mac  finds Cane and tells him the news.

Former Y & R cast member Eyal Podell who played Adrian Corbell, has a new prime time series on ABC. The show is entitled Defying Gravity and is scheduled to air on Sundays at 9:00 starting August 2. Congratulation to Eyal on his new role.
