As Nick greets Ashley and Faith at the Abbott Cabin, Phyllis and Summer place a memorial plaque on a tree near where Nicholas’s daughter was laid to rest. When they return to the cabin Summer asks to hold Faith and Nick offers to help. Phyllis and Ashley look on as Nick introduces Summer to her Aunt Faith. Later Phyllis brings Nick outside to show him the memorial. Nick begins to cry and Phyllis is there to console him.

A thoughtful Jack brings Thanksgiving dinner to Sharon. He is stunned to see Sharon kissing Adam and makes his presence known. Sharon tells Jack she did not invite him and she does not owe him any explanations. He reminds Sharon what Adam is capable of and questions her judgment. He tells her she is the one that told him Adam could not be trusted. As Adam tries to defend his own lies, he reminds Jack of his own. Jack becomes infuriated with Sharon for sharing the secrets of their marriage with Adam. Adam comes to Sharon’s defense and Sharon tells Jack to leave. Jack gives Adam fair-warning if he ever hurts Sharon, he will have to answer to him.

The Thanksgiving celebration continues at the Baldwins’ where Ryder discusses with Daisy his concerns about the photo taken of him that provided his alibi. He feels it is only a matter of time when someone will know it was Daisy sitting next to him. Daisy tries to convince Ryder if he follows their plan, everything will be fine. Daniel, still visibly upset about the subpoena, approaches Ryder and asks him about the murder. He reminds Ryder of the conversation they shared in jail about Deacon. Ryder becomes evasive again and tells everyone he is tired of always having to defend himself. All become aware he is hiding something. Lauren tells Kevin the reason no one trusts Ryder is because he is always withholding information.

Michael takes Daniel and Amber out into the hall and tells the couple to behave and let him do his job. Michael is honest with Daniel and tells him his case does not look good. He encourages them not to discuss Daniel’s case in public. Jana calls the group back into the apartment to witness Kevin persuading Ryder to come clean. As Ryder begins to speak Daisy causes a distraction by burning herself on the chafing dish. Ryder disappears. Later Lauren can see Michael is upset about Daniel’s case. Amber tells Daniel they will face his future together.

Later Jana brings Daisy back to Crimson Lights with second degree burns. They notice Ryder sitting at a table. As Kevin continues to persuade Ryder to trust him, Ryder is also served with a subpoena to appear in front of the Grand Jury. Ryder tells Kevin he is not ready to bare his soul to his family but assures him he will do everything he can to help Daniel.

After Phyllis and Nick return home, Nick tells Phyllis he is grateful for what she did. She encourages Nick to open up to her about the loss of his daughter. As Nick is reading a story to Summer, Jack arrives and demands to talk with Nick. Phyllis wants to know why. When Jack tells her it is about Sharon, Phyllis tells Jack to go home. Jack is persistent and Phyllis tells him they just returned home from grieving the loss of Nick and Sharon’s daughter and tells Jack whatever he needs to tell Nick can wait until tomorrow. After Jack sees Nick he agrees and leaves.

Back at Sharon’s Adam apologizes to her for the “garbage” he is bringing into their relationship. He tells her he was hoping something real could happen between them and thanks her for dinner. She encourages him to stay and tells him something real is happening. She takes his hand and escorts him upstairs. As Sharon and Adam make love he tells her he loves her.

Thursday and Friday’s episodes of The Young and the Restless will take us down memory lane. Today you can enjoy an encore presentation of Michael and Lauren’s wedding. Tomorrow CBS will air Y&R’s version of “It’s a Wonderful Life”. We understand most of us will not be able to watch these episodes when they are aired. If you have the opportunity to record them or watch online, please do so, both are well worth it.

We love reruns of soaps and wish the networks would incorporate more in their storylines. Better yet, maybe SOAPnet and the production companies could join together and develop a show encompassing the best of our favorite daytime dramas. Particularly shows that are no longer on the air.

Today’s Recap of The Young and the Restless November 25, 2009

As the Baldwins gather to celebrate Thanksgiving, Jana arrives without Kevin. Jana tells Michael and Lauren Kevin will not come without Ryder.

Meanwhile at Crimson Lights Kevin tries to convince Ryder to go with him to Michaels. Mac enters and Kevin is surprised to learn she and Billy broke up. Kevin tells her that is something to be thankful for. Michael and Lauren arrive and assure Kevin Ryder is welcome. Daisy enters and Lauren invites her as well. All leave to return to the Baldwin’s.

Billy arrives at Indigo where the Winters are preparing dinners for the shelter. Billy offers to help. Ashley enters with Faith and is surprised to see Billy there. Lily offers to hold Faith, as Neil and Cane look on they can’t help but wonder about Lily’s future. Mac arrives with the pies and is shocked to see Billy there. Jack enters and the Abbotts are together once again. Lily apologizes to Mac for asking her to help raise her baby if something happens to her. Lily is surprised to learn Mac is going to continue with the surrogacy and she is grateful. All are happy except for Billy. Neil thanks everyone for their help and Ashley and Billy leave.

Daniel and Amber arrive at the tack house. Phyllis makes a toast for all of the things the Newmans should be thankful for this year and tells them she is grateful for everyone in the room. She receives a phone call from Jack asking for rolls for the shelter. JT offers to take them to Indigo. Phyllis asks Jack for a favor.

Back at the Baldwin’s, Lauren introduces Daisy to everyone. Daniel and Amber arrive and Daniel is surprised to see Ryder there. Michael makes a toast to his dysfunctional family. Lauren reminds them what they should be thankful for and tells everyone to play nice. Later Daniel asks Michael about his case. Daniel does not understand why Ryder would let himself be incarcerated knowing he had an alibi. Both wonder what Ryder is hiding. As the evening winds down, there is a knock at the door. Daniel is served with a summons to appear in front of the Grand Jury. Amber asks Michael for an explanation and he tells her the investigation has officially reopened. Later Ryder is concerned if anyone looks at the photo of his alibi closely, they will notice Daisy sitting next to him.

Later at the tack house Victoria asks Phyllis how things are going with Nick. She is concerned about her brother and is surprised to learn Nick has not confided in Phyllis about his grief for Faith. Phyllis tells Victoria it is a little awkward to ask your own husband to talk about his grief over the loss of a child with another woman. Victoria encourages Phyllis to take a different approach and reminds her she would not want Nick to look elsewhere for understanding. Red gets the message. Nick takes his sister aside and asks her how she feels about JT’s new job. She tells him she is proud and happy for him. Nick can see motherhood is not enough for his sister. Victoria hears Reed’s cries and leaves to attend to him. Phyllis approaches Nick and tells him they need to leave as well because there is something he needs to do.

At Sharon’s she tells Adam about her admiration for Hope. He is surprised Sharon knew his mother. Later Adam tells Sharon he was afraid he overstepped his bounds when he kissed her. She tells him he has nothing to apologize for. They both agree they are short on friends and enjoy each other’s company. She tells him the kiss was nice and wants to see where things lead between them. Later Jack visits Sharon and is shocked to see her kissing Adam.

JT arrives at Indigo and Mac is glad to see him. He is surprised to learn about Mac’s plans but is happy for her and wishes her, Lily and Cane well. Mac suddenly looks at JT with new eyes.

Later Phyllis takes Nick and Summer to the Abbott Cabin. Nick tells Phyllis this is the last place she should want to be. She tells him she saw the look on his face when he was holding Summer’s baby doll and assures him it is ok to grieve the loss of his daughter. She lets Nick know she is no longer threatened by Sharon. Phyllis takes Summer outside to give Nick some alone time. As he remembers his time there with Sharon, saying goodbye to their daughter, Ashley enters holding Faith.

Back at Indigo, Neil declares the kitchen is closed. He thanks everyone for their help. Mac invites JT to stay and eat with them. Neil begins to pray and asks for blessings of our troops overseas. He tells the gathering he is grateful for his family, and especially Cane, for rising to the occasion to support his daughter.

So fans of The Young and the Restless, whose home would you like to be invited to celebrate the Thanksgiving holiday. Today’s Recap of The Young and the Restless November 24, 2009

At the ranch Ashley invites Adam to Jack’s for Thanksgiving, he declines. Adam thinks about kissing Sharon and her reaction.

Noah leaves to celebrate Thanksgiving with Nick and Phyllis. He is concerned about leaving his mother alone. She tells him she will be fine. After Noah leaves, Sharon calls Adam and invites him over. Adam arrives with wine and assures Sharon he will not make any moves on her. He looks at the family portrait Cassie made years ago, Sharon tells him although her family is not together anymore, the portrait makes her feel connected to them. Adam reflects back to his quiet childhood memories of Thanksgiving with Hope on the farm. Later Sharon thanks Adam for spending the day with her. He tells her he is grateful for meeting her this year.

As Jack is picking up dessert at the Athletic Club, he invites Emily to the Abbott Thanksgiving, she graciously accepts.

At the tack house Phyllis unwraps her new sofa. She is excited about hosting Thanksgiving and wants it to be perfect. Victoria and JT surprise Nick and Phyllis with a visit from New York. When asked if they need to return tomorrow, JT tells Nick billionaire Tucker McCall is opening an office in Genoa City and he will be working there. Nick asks Victoria if she is happy and she evades answering. Summer interrupts asking Nick to feed her baby doll. As Nick feeds the pretend baby, he has visions of Faith. Later Nick toasts his family to second chances. As Phyllis takes the turkey out of the oven, all discover the stuffing is pink. Summer’s arts and crafts found their way into the stuffing. Phyllis is upset their Thanksgiving is a disaster. Nick tells her not to worry, he will fix it.

The Chancellors begin to celebrate Thanksgiving. Nina asks Chance if he heard from Phillip. Chance tells her he received an email from his father. Billy arrives and Mac enters. She tells him she will be working at the shelter and won’t be there for dinner. He tells her he stopped by to see Delia and will be eating at the Abbotts. Mac is glad to see Jack and Billy make an effort to reconnect. The phone rings and Phillip wishes his entire family a happy Thanksgiving. Paul arrives and Jill asks him about the investigation. Katherine and Nina are surprised to see Paul there, Jill tells them he is her date. As Murphy toasts their guests, Katherine tells her family how grateful she is Murphy saved her life a year ago. The Chancellors are grateful for all of the loved ones that came back to them this year. As Mac looks at Billy, she tells everyone she is grateful they can put aside their differences and come together as a family. Chloe encourages Billy to do the same. She acknowledges Mac’s intentions to become Lily and Cane’s surrogate. Jill is left with her mouth wide open. Later Katherine tells Mac she has nothing to be ashamed of and Mac continues to question her own decision. Jill stops Mac as she is leaving and tells her what she is doing is brave and wonderful.

Emily arrives at the Abbott Mansion. Jack tells her it is their first Thanksgiving without Colleen and he wants to make it special. Emily asks about the football game and Jack likes what he sees. Smart Alex Abby, Ashley and Faith arrive. Jack introduces Emily to Ashley and she is shocked by the resemblance to Patty. Ashley introduces her to Abby and Abby is surprised Jack would get involved with someone who looks just like the person responsible for killing Colleen. All gather at the Abbott table. Abby refuses to eat the turkey claiming she is a vegan. Jack toasts his family and reminds them they are not alone and will always have each other to turn to. Ashley reprimands Abby for taking a call at the table. Abby leaves and Ashley follows with Faith. Emily’s dinner is also interrupted by a phone call. As Billy and Jack are left alone, Billy questions Jack’s attraction to Emily. Jack tells his little brother he’s trying to turn his life around and suggests Billy do the same. Billy calls Jack a hypocrite and leaves.

Back at the Chancellor Estate Jill is torn between being happy for Cane and her heart breaking for Billy. Paul tells Nina he and Jill are not really dating. It does not take long for Super sleuth Nina to figure out Jill hired Paul to find Katherine’s daughter. Jill enters and Nina tells her to stop the charade. She leaves and Paul asks Nina if she is jealous. Nina claims there is nothing to be jealous of because they are just friends. Paul kisses Nina and asks her again if she is jealous. Nina is stunned.

Later at the ranch Ashley is upset with Abby. She tells her daughter she understands her anger and encourages her to lean on her. Abby walks out.

Back at the Abbott’s, Jack talks to a picture of John and tells Emily Thanksgiving was a celebration of family when his father was alive. Emily leaves for the hospital and Jack returns to the dinning room alone.

Today’s Recap of The Young and the Restless November 23, 2009

At the Chancellor Estate Chance questions Chloe about her feelings for Billy and tells her he is certain she still cares for him. She admits to Chance she is happy Billy and Mac crashed and burned. He feels her actions were more than spiteful. Chloe continues to back peddle and Chance walks away.

Billy continues to drown his sorrows at Indigo where he meets a femme fatale from New York named Kelly. He asks her what she is doing in Genoa City and she replies she is visiting family for the holidays. She quickly tells Billy she is not interested in small talk and the couple proceeds outside. Billy and his new friend cannot keep their hands off each other. They later return to Indigo where Kelly tells Billy her real name and informs him she is a publisher from Manhattan and is well aware who he really is. She excuses herself and leaves.

As Sharon holds Faith at the Newman Ranch, Adam tells Sharon he thinks her holding the baby is a bad idea and wants to call it a night. Ironically, Sharon seems fine. Ashley returns home and is surprised to see Adam there. He tells her about the emergency with Faith’s nanny. Ashley, unaware Adam’s date was with Sharon, suggests he follow up with her. She encourages him to move forward with his life. Adam calls for his driver.

At the Athletic Club Katherine meets with Nick and they discuss the IPO. She informs Nick he is on the list of preferred investors. He replies he is honored. Nick assures Katherine he will confer with his family and get back to her. As Nick is leaving he sees Adam at the bar. They exchange an icy encounter.

Jack arrives at the tack house looking for Nick. He tells Phyllis Nick backed out of their investment deal and he doesn’t understand why. Phyllis tells Jack Nick recently found out about the night they slept together. Jack becomes annoyed with Phyllis and does not understand why she needed to tell her husband about her indiscretion. She explains to Jack her reason. She also tells Jack Patty thinks she is Diane. Jack truly understands Phyllis’s reason for telling Nick and realizes he is to blame for Patty’s actions against Summer. Nick returns home and is surprised to see Jack there. Jack apologizes to Nick and Nick tells him it is done and they all need to move forward. Nick assures Jack he will not go into business with him because there is no trust in their relationship.

Back at the Chancellor Estate Murphy arrives home from his fishing trip. Chloe enters and Katherine asks her what she missed while she was out. Chloe tells her Mac broke up with Billy and Katherine does not seem surprised. Chloe tells her Chance did not like her reaction to the news. Katherine tells Chloe a big part of her problem is her attitude. Chloe tries to convince her she no longer wants Billy and Katherine asks her what she really wants and asks her what she is afraid of. Chloe admits she is afraid of screwing up and Katherine encourages her to be honest with Chance.

Chloe returns to Chance’s room and tells him she can see his point of view about her feelings for Billy. She admits to Chance she loved Billy and he walked away from her. She explains he was the last in a long line of men who walked out of her life. As she pours her heart out to Chance, he grabs her face and kisses her. Chloe stops Chance and leaves to check on Delia.

Jack arrives at the ranch to see Ashley. She tells him she does not want to discuss the IPO. He assures her he is happy she will be investing and informs her he will not be purchasing any Chancellor Stock. He asks his sister about Thanksgiving and reminds Ashley their family is not what it should be. Later Jack calls Billy and invites him to the Abbott Mansion to celebrate the holiday.

Back at the tack house Phyllis tries to console Nick. She asks him about the deal with Jack. He tells her he was invited by Katherine to invest on his own. He also mentions he saw Adam at the Athletic Club. He feels Adam has been keeping his nose clean at Newman and wants to know why. Nick offers to make reservations for Thanksgiving but Phyllis insists she wants to cook. He reluctantly agrees.

Sharon returns home alone. Later Adam arrives and tells her he cancelled their date because he is tired of keeping secrets from her. Before she can respond, he passionately kisses her.

Today’s Recap of The Young and the Restless November 20, 2009

Outside of the Chancellor Estate Billy and Mac discuss Phillip’s departure. Mac tries to tell Billy about her recent conversation with Lily but Billy cuts her off. Chloe and Chance overhear part of their discussion and Chloe assumes Mac and Billy are having a baby. After Chloe puts the pieces together she tells Billy he must be proud of Mac’s generosity. Chance intervenes and takes Chloe away. Billy wants to continue the discussion with Mac but she does not think it is a good idea. In her heart she says goodbye to Billy.

At the ranch Adam seeks Ashley’s advice about his wardrobe. Sharon calls and tells Adam she made reservations at Indigo for their date. She offers to pick him up and he tells her he will be waiting. Jack arrives at the ranch and begins to rib Adam. Jack tells Ashley he will be investing in the Chancellor IPO and asks his sister to join forces with him. Ashley informs Jack she will also be investing, but not with him. She tells Jack she needs to keep her family and her business separate. He realizes Ashley needs to feel independent but tells her he knows she will eventually side with him. She assures him she will not. She tells Jack, through all of his faults, she unconditionally loves him and asks him to do the same for her.

Jack later arrives at the Athletic Club and runs into Emily. They both are looking forward to their date later in the evening. Jack calls Nick to ask about the IPO. Nick tells Jack he is still reviewing the details but assures Jack he is interested.

Nick returns home to a frantic Phyllis. She tells Nick she is the reason Patty attacked Summer. Nick wants to know what is wrong with his wife. Phyllis tells Nick about the night she was with Jack and tells him she had sex with him, right here on the ugly white sofa. Phyllis reminds Nick she slept with Jack after he left her for Sharon. She tells him what she did at the time was none of his business because he walked out on her. She tells him Patty saw her and Jack together which makes her responsible for Patty’s actions against Summer. Nick tells her not to blame herself but to blame him for leaving her. Phyllis breaks down knowing the damage Patty’s actions caused her daughter. Nick reminds Phyllis there are a lot of people to blame for their daughter’s condition but no one has done more to help Summer than she. As Nick tries to console his wife, they begin to make love.

Paul visits with Patty and they continue to relive their childhood memories. Dr Peterson arrives and asks Paul about Patty’s mood. He tells her he has not heard any threats today. Patty shows Paul and Dr. Peterson the paper dolls she made. She tells them she does not like the child scissors they gave her but understands there are very dangerous people around her. They ask Patty about Jack and she claims she would never hurt him. Later Dr. Peterson tells Paul it is not uncommon for Patty not to remember how violent she can be. After Paul and Dr. Peterson leave, Patty takes out a paper doll she made of Jack and proceeds to cut his eyes out, stating he will never hurt anyone again.

Later Jack picks up Emily at the athletic club and gives her a beautiful bouquet of flowers. He brings her back to the Abbott Mansion and introduces himself as the waiter, chef and busboy. He tells her he thought she would enjoy a home cooked meal for a change. Emily seems impressed with Jack’s thoughtfulness. She apologizes for jumping to conclusions about him when they first met.

Back at the Newman Ranch Faith’s nanny suddenly leaves for a family emergency. Sharon arrives and Adam tells her he cannot go out tonight because there is no one to take care of Faith. Adam wants to postpone their date but Sharon decides to stay. As Adam is preparing a snack for them Sharon hears Faith’s cries and goes upstairs to console her. Adam returns with a tray of food and finds Faith in Sharon’s arms.

Later at the Chancellor Estate Chloe tells Mac she thinks she is doing the right thing. Chance does not side with Billy but makes it clear he can understand how he feels. He later asks Chloe how she feels about Billy now that she knows he is available again.

Billy meets with Ashley at Crimson Lights and he tells her Mac does not want to be with him anymore. She tells her baby brother life goes on and other opportunities arise. Billy is determined not to loose Mac again.

Later at the tack house, as Phyllis is sleeping, Nick calls Jack and leaves a message stating he is no longer interested in the IPO deal.

As Jack brings Emily home to the Athletic Club, Paul watches Jack kiss Dr. Peterson goodnight.

Michelle Stafford attended her baby shower last Saturday. 70 guests were in attendance including Y&R’s Tracey Bregman. Michelle’s shower was hosted by Kirstie Alley at her home.

The role of Malcolm Winters has finally been recast on The Young and the Restless. Darius McCrary of “Family Matters” fame will portray Malcolm in late December.

Corbin Bernsen who plays Father Todd Williams on The Young and the Restless and is the real-life son of Jeanne Cooper has been cast in the movie “Closet”. We look forward to seeing Mr. Bernsen in his new role.

Sadly, Dennis Cole passed away this week in Florida. Mr. Cole portrayed Lance Prentiss on The Young and the Restless. We send our heartfelt condolences to his family and friends.

We previously announced Melody Thomas Scott was scheduled to portray Martha Alden on the new web series, “The Republic”. Due to an emergency she has declined the role. We look forward to seeing Melody back on Y&R soon.

Tatyana Ali who portrays Roxanne on The Young and the Restless has been cast in the BET web series “Buppies”. Look for the shows debut November 24 at BET.com. We wish Tatyana the best of luck with her new role.

Today’s Recap of The Young and the Restless November 19, 2009

At Crimson Lights Lauren tells Kevin she recalls calling Ryder a rat and does not believe it is a coincidence a rat was sent to her. Kevin defends his brother and Lauren tells him he is in denial. Michael arrives and tells Ryder he’ll be representing Daniel and therefore will not be able to represent him. Kevin feels betrayed. Lauren asks Ryder what his problem is with her. Ryder tries to convince her he did not send the rat and tells her he actually likes her and Michael. Lauren doesn’t buy it and tells Ryder she is not afraid of him. Lauren questions Kevin’s judgment about Ryder but he stands firm. Kevin tells Michael and Lauren to leave. Ryder makes a call to the person who actually sent the rat to Lauren. In the meantime, as Chloe is talking with Billy she receives a phone call from Phillip asking her to return to the Chancellor Estate, Billy follows.

As Amber and Daniel are about to leave for their honeymoon, Michael arrives. A solemn Michael tells Daniel he has again become the prime suspect in the murder case and is not allowed to leave the state of Wisconsin. Daniel leaves to get some air. When he returns he encounters Amber’s creativity with various scenes of the places they were to visit on their honeymoon.  Daniel apologizes for leaving and convinces Amber they will make it through this because they have each other. They continue to look for an in-state honeymoon but decide to start the festivities at home.

As Lily, Mac and Cane return home from Lily’s treatment, they are greeted by Jill. She has brought food for all to share. Cane tells Jill about their plans for the surrogacy. Jill is elated there will be another baby in the family and she assures Cane he is part of their family. Later Cane becomes the doting husband to both Lily and Mac. Lily can see there is something troubling Cane. He tells her he’s concerned about Jill and she encourages him to find her. Later Lily tells Mac she can’t talk with Cane about the possibility of her not being there to raise their baby. Lily asks Mac if something happens to her if she would be an influence in her baby’s life. Mac becomes overwhelmed at the possibility of a lifetime commitment. Lily asks Mac if she is having second thoughts and Mac avoids answering.

At the Chancellor Estate Nina tells Katherine about Phillip’s plan to return to Australia. Nina is furious with her ex-husband and Katherine looks devastated. Meanwhile Phillip tells Chance his plans. Chance is visibly annoyed and Katherine questions Phillip’s decision. She demands an explanation. He tells her he has unfinished business in Australia that needs his attention. She reminds him they are his unfinished business. He asks for their trust but there is none forthcoming. Jill arrives and questions her son. Cane enters right behind her and tells the Chancellors Phillip is leaving to help save his life. He explains to the Chancellors the circumstances taking place in Australia. Both Phillip and Cane feel if they don’t take action, their enemies will find them in Genoa City and everyone will be in danger. Billy puts in his two cents and tells Cane to go home to Australia to take care of his own dirty work. Jill tells Billy to cool off and asks him to leave. Phillip feels he owes Cane and wants him to remain with Lily, especially during her illness. Jill tells Phillip she is proud of the man he has become. He apologizes to his family for not telling them the truth about himself many years ago. He tells Jill and Katherine he regrets the lies he told so long ago and wishes he handled his disappearance differently.

Chloe goes upstairs to Chances room where he is playing with Delia. He is upset with his Phillip’s decision to leave him again, but then realizes his father’s choice is a noble one. He decides he likes having his father around and Chloe asks Chance to give his dad a chance.

Outside Billy confronts Cane. He begs for Cane to hit him but Cane won’t stoop so low. Billy asks Cane how he manages to get people to forgive him. Cane tells Billy the reasons his family does not support him has nothing to do with him. Chloe overhears the conversation and approaches Billy. She asks if wants to see Delia but he declines and she leaves. Mac appears and they stare into each other’s eyes.

Cane joins the family inside and apologizes for everything. Katherine notices the bond between Phillip and Cane and Phillip tells them he is like a brother to him. As Phillip asks for forgiveness, Jill and Katherine offer their own apologizes. Jill tells her son whenever they were not together a part of her heart was always missing. He assures her he will be back. Chance enters and tells his father he is doing the right thing. He calls Phillip “Dad” and Phillip tells his son how much he loves him. Jill and Katherine remind Phillip of all of the gifts he has given them and tell him he’s a good man. Outside Phillip tells Nina how much he loves her and she tells him she has been waiting 25 years to hear that. A tearful goodbye was shared by all of the Chancellors on The Young and the Restless today.

Today’s Recap of The Young and the Restless November 18, 2009

Billy sees Mac at Crimson Lights and tells her he has hired a freelance writer for a feel good piece on behalf of Restless Style. She reminds him of her plans to continue with the surrogacy. Billy wants to continue their discussion and Mac makes it clear there is nothing else to talk about. Dr. Peterson arrives and she and Mac begin their session. She asks Mac if she has considered the questions she asked her previously. Mac tells her she has and wants to continue with the surrogacy. Dr. Peterson tells Mac she will email her final report to the hospital.

As Lily prepares for another chemo treatment, Cane tells Lily he is excited about starting a new life with her. They both are ecstatic about the thought of becoming parents. Phillip arrives and tells Cane there are issues in Australia that need attention and he will be leaving. Cane feels it is his responsibility to go but Phillip feels he owes Cane and wants to go himself. Phillip asks Cane not to share the information with anyone. He feels if the Chancellors become aware he is leaving to help Cane, he will loose the progress he has made with them.

At the Chancellor Estate Chloe continues to take care of Chance. As Chloe climbs under the covers to “scratch Chance’s itch”, an appalled Nina enters with a food tray containing all of her son’s favorites. Chloe assures Nina they were not doing anything she would be ashamed of but informs her she will be giving Chance a sponge bath. Nina leaves.

Jack meets with Katherine at the Athletic Club to discuss Jabot business. The issue of the IPO arises and Katherine informs Jack he will not be a part of it. Jack graciously shrugs it off and Katherine becomes suspicious.

Later Katherine returns home and sees Nina is upset about Chloe. She reminds Nina how she treated Jill in the past. Nina realizes her son is grown and can make his own choices. Katherine encourages her to embrace the fact her family is together and to make the most of it. Billy arrives and Katherine invites him in. He declines because he does not want to see the people inside. Katherine joins him outside and he offers her his coat. He tells her of Mac’s plan to become Lily and Cane’s surrogate. Katherine tells Billy Mac is capable of great sacrifice and then she realizes why Mac was so upset. Billy thought Katherine would advocate on his behalf but now knows he is own his own.

Later Phillip arrives at the estate and tells Nina he will be leaving for Australia. Nina becomes furious with Phillip. He tells her there is unfinished business back home which needs his attention. She reminds him his home is with his son. Mac returns home and Katherine asks her about the surrogacy. She assures her granddaughter she approves of her decision. She also wants her to realize what it is like to carry and child knowing you will give it up. She shares with her how painful it was to give up her own daughter many years ago, an act that still haunts her to this day.

At Newman Phyllis receives a phone call for Nick from Patty’s nurse asking to see him. Phyllis decides to pay Patty a visit herself. At the hospital Phyllis asks Patty why she called her husband. Patty replies she did not ask the nurse to call Nick, she asked her to call Diane’s husband. Phyllis does not believe Patty’s diagnosis that she is living in the past. Patty tells Phyllis she saw her having sex with Jack on the ugly white sofa and Phyllis realizes Patty saw her with Jack. Phyllis now understands Patty’s actions against Summer were her own fault and she becomes guilt ridden.

In the meantime Jack arrives at Newman and encourages Nick to accept his deal. He tells Nick they were each born and bread to run their family’s businesses. Nick is concerned about the financial risk Jack will be taking but Jack assures him it is worth it. Jack also tells Nick he regrets loosing their friendship and hopes to rebuild it. Nick is concerned about the timing.

Mac joins Lily and Cane at Genoa City Memorial and tells them she has been approved to become their surrogate. All are elated.

Back at Newman Phyllis watches from the doorway as Summer is sitting on Nick’s lap drawing a picture for her Mommy. The pain in Phyllis’s eyes is unbearable.

Today’s Recap of The Young and the Restless November 17, 2009

Lauren and Michael join Nick and Phyllis at Crimson Lights. Nick gives Michael the settlement checks for the Cayman Island issue. As Gloria is mopping the floor she notices Michael meeting with Nick and gives Kevin her notice. Michael gives the checks to Gloria and Jeff and reminds them to take better care of their money. He gives Jill her share. She seems preoccupied with bigger opportunities ahead and almost dismisses her lost fortune. Later Gloria asks Michael what their options would be if they did not cash the checks. Michael encourages them to be happy with what they have. Later Lauren confides in Phyllis how upset she is about the gift she was given and tells her she is suspicious of Ryder. Ryder enters and offers the women a refill while asking Lauren about the wedding. They both become suspicious and tell Michael. He asks Kevin about Ryder’s whereabouts last night and Kevin tells Michael Ryder was working. In the meantime, Gloria and Jeff realize Jill has something in the works and they want in. Much later Gloria returns to Crimson Lights after a shopping spree. Jeff brings up the Chancellor IPO and Kevin shares with his mother he is a new Chancellor employee. The Bardwells have their in. Michael and Lauren begin to interrogate Ryder. He tells him he heard about “Willard” and admits he left the coffee house during his shift last night. Ryder becomes evasive and Michael gets angry. Michael realizes Ryder is a bad seed.

At the Athletic Club Sharon and Adam agree they do not care who sees them together. Sharon asks Adam to meet her there later and he agrees. Ashley arrives and Sharon asks her about her baby. As Adam listens to the conversation, the ladies discuss Faith. Ashley asks Sharon if she would like to stay and meet with Faith when she arrives. Adam, not wanting the ladies spending any time together, reminds Sharon of her previous appointment. Later Ashley asks Adam to join her but he declines.

Heather shares a cup of coffee with Paul at his apartment. He apologizes to his daughter for having been the one to tell her about Adam. She asks about his love life and figures out Paul is interested in Nina. Paul admits it is nice having something to look forward to. Announcing she is Paul’s new girlfriend, Jill arrives and is surprised to see Heather there. Paul questions Jill about telling Katherine they are involved. Jill thinks it is the perfect cover for Paul’s investigation. She encourages Paul to move onto the Chancellor Estate where he will have access to all of Katherine’s records. Jill feels it is time to let Genoa City know they are an item and asks Paul to escort her to the Athletic Club for their first official fake date.

At Jabot Jack corners Neil about the IPO and tells Neil he wants in. Neil tells him he is not the type of investor Chancellor is looking for. Jack realizes Katherine does not want him to have leverage in his family’s company and tells Neil this will not stop him. Later Katherine arrives with Mitchell Sherman and all agree it is time to move the stock offering forward. Jill is noticeably absent from the meeting. Later Ashley arrives and meets with Katherine and Neil. She tells them she is aware of the IPO and wants to invest. She assures them she is not partnering with Jack. She confides to them she wants the opportunity to buy the stock because she wants a chance to stand on her own.

Adam arrives at Nick’s office at Newman Enterprises. Adam reminds Nick Victor wants him to broaden his responsibilities there. Nick tells him he needs to earn his trust first. Later Jack meets with Nick to encourage him to purchase Chancellor Stock with Jack’s money. Nick asks Jack why he would take the risk, Jack tells him the Abbott family needs to be put back together and Jabot is the glue. Jack reminds Nick his father always knew a good deal when he saw one.

Back at the Athletic Club Sharon runs into Jack. They are both genuinely glad to see each other. He tells Sharon he may have a job for her at Jabot and she agrees to stop by. As Adam is approaching Sharon at the bar he runs into Heather. She tells him he is a liar and God help the next woman that will be with him. Unaware of Adam’s faults, Sharon greets him with open arms. As the couple is flirting with each other the subject of trust comes up. She asks him why he did not want her spending time with Ashley and Faith earlier. He tells her he was trying to protect her and she is grateful. As Katherine and Neil are sharing a meal, Jill arrives with Paul. Ashley arrives and tells Jack she had a very productive day. Jack is intrigued but Ashley is mum.
