Today’s Recap of The Young and the Restless December 8, 2009

 

 

Michael tells Daniel it is time to start preparing for his trial. Phyllis interrupts with a plea to speak with Heather. Michael assures her it is a bad idea. Phyllis feels she needs to do something to help her son and Michael reminds her of the evidence. She realizes they need to find the third man in the alley and knows who to ask for help. Later Kevin arrives and apologizes to Daniel for letting him down. He tells him Ryder pled the fifth because he was afraid of repercussions from Deacon. Ryder is terrified and Kevin does not know why.

 

While Nick is working at Newman, he remembers his last conversation with Sharon. Victoria arrives and asks about Phyllis and tells Nick she is sorry Daniel was arrested. She tells Nick she wants in on the IPO. As Victoria is leaving Adam arrives and receives a call from Sharon. Nick overhears part of the conversation and starts to fume. Nick tells Adam to stop hiding behind Sharon and Adam replies he can’t, he is in too deep. He tells Nick he can make Sharon happy, as many times as she wants it. Nick still insists Adam’s interest in Sharon is payback. Adam again reminds Nick he is no longer married to Sharon and continues to bait Nick. Nick punches Adam and demands he stay away from Sharon.

 

At the Athletic Club, JT relays Katherine’s message to Tucker. Meanwhile he sees a Restless Style article online about Victoria’s testimony to the Grand Jury and her affair with Deacon. He calls Victoria asking to meet her.

 

Noah returns home and Sharon tells him about her relationship with Sharon. He reflects back to the recent conversation he had with his father. Noah tells Sharon he is happy for her because he does not want her to be alone, but in the back of his mind he is concerned about Adam’s intentions concerning his mother. He tells Sharon he will always be there for her and leaves.

 

Paul arrives at the tack house where Phyllis and Michael are strategizing Daniel’s case. Michael is interrupted by a call from Nick requesting his presence on a matter regarding Adam. When Phyllis learns of Nick’s plight, she is certain it has something to do with Sharon. She asks Paul to help her find evidence to help free Daniel. Paul calls Heather. Heather arrives and Phyllis tries to assure her Daniel is innocent and was set up, she pleads for her understanding. Heather does not buy it. Paul asks to speak with his daughter alone. He tells her if she were in Daniel’s situation, he would do everything he could to help her. He asks to see Daniel’s case file and she complies.

 

Victoria meets JT at home and tells him she has decided to invest in the Chancellor IPO. He’s annoyed she did not listen to his advice. He tells her about the recent Restless Style article online. Victoria becomes upset, not because her affair is online for the world to see which hurts and humiliates her husband, but because this will be another setback for her return to Newman Enterprises. Victoria pleads with her husband to try to help fix their marriage. JT replies their marriage is not a partnership, it is Victoria’s world and he is existing in it. He tells her he has more important things to do.

 

Michael arrives at Newman as Adam is photographing is own injuries. When Michael realizes Nick hit Adam he reminds Nick he is the CEO of Newman Enterprises and Adam is a visually impaired employee. Nick apologizes to Adam and Adam tells Nick he is hiring an attorney and will sue Nick for assault.

 

Later Nick arrives at Sharon’s. He apologizes to her for how he reacted when he saw her in bed with Adam. She asks if he was jealous, he tells her no. He claims he still feels Adam’s plan is to get back at him and his plan is working. He tells her about the fisticuffs earlier at Newman and what Adam’s intentions are. He asks her again about sending the email she had written. She claims she does not remember sending it and Nick thinks Adam is responsible. He promises he will leave her alone once she sees Adam for who he really is. Later Adam arrives and Sharon asks him why he is with her.

 

At Crimson Lights Michael arrives and tells Ryder he and Deacon will be called to testify at Daniels trial and assures him he will find out what he is hiding.

 

After Paul reviews Daniel’s case file he tells Phyllis if there was a third man on the scene they may be able to find him on a surveillance tape. Phyllis is grateful to Paul for giving her hope. Nick returns home and Phyllis tells him Paul has agreed to work on Daniels case. She also tells him about the recent Restless Style article about Victoria’s testimony. Nick tells her about the black eye he gave to Adam. When she starts to ask him why, she realizes she does not want to know the details.
