As all prepare for Christmas Eve on The Young and the Restless, Katherine and Murphy continue their good deed selling trees for charity. Tucker arrives and he and Katherine begin to negotiate. Nina approaches Jill and tells her she knows about the present she is planning for Katherine. Jill pleads with Nina to keep her secret. Gloria and Jeff stop by to purchase a wreath and she and Jill vie for Tucker’s attention. Katherine encourages Tucker to make a generous donation along with his tree purchase and they both come to terms with a deal they can agree on. She invites Tucker to Christmas dinner and he accepts. Jill wraps up her purchase and follows Tucker home.

Daisy arrives at the Baldwins’. After she leaves, Eden tells Michael and Lauren Daisy cannot be staying at the dorms because they are closed for the holidays. Daisy meets Ryder and he admits he is concerned about his mother. Daisy encourages Ryder to stick with their plan. Laurel calls Daisy and questions her living arrangements. She returns to Lauren and Michaels where she tells them her parents were killed in a car accident many years ago and she grew up in a foster home. As she tries to play on their sympathy, Lauren buys it but Michael and Eden become suspicious. Michael begins to investigate as Lauren invites Daisy to celebrate the holidays with them.

At Crimson Lights Devon and Roxanne discuss his plans. Neil arrives and Devon tells him he aced his music classes but failed a class and will not graduate until spring. Neil becomes upset with Devon and retracts his offer to pay for his first demo. Later Neil returns and apologizes to Devon for not being as diplomatic as he should have been.

Jack offers Emily breakfast reminiscent of the old days in the Abbott home. He asks her to return when she is done work and she agrees.

Meanwhile Paul visits Patty at the psych ward and gives her a gift. She asks him to take her home with him, just for a day. He declines and she understands. He meets Dr. Peterson in the hall and requests a more comfortable room for his sister. Emily feels she is not stable enough. Dr. Peterson enters Patty’s room and Patty gives her a handmade angel ornament. Later Patty reads an article in the newspaper about Jack. She cuts out his picture and puts it on a handmade tree.

Paul meets Nina at Crimson Lights and tells her he has a lead in finding Katherine’s daughter. They meet a woman who was on duty the night the baby was born. She tells them a nun came in and took the baby away. They locate the orphanage and obtain the name of Katherine’s daughter.

Emily returns to the Abbott Mansion and is greeted by carolers. Jack convinces her to join the group and they go caroling together. After they return home, Emily tells Jack she is falling in love with him.
