As Jill awakens in Tucker’s bed, he greets her with a cup of coffee. She tells him they need to talk and he tells her he likes to separate business from pleasure. As both are suspicious of each other, they agree they have no ulterior motives about their relationship. She tells him she is planning on talking Katherine out of accepting his offer. When he asks why, she tells him she has done her homework and does not feel his investment would be in Chancellor Industry’s best interest. He tells her if she can get Katherine to turn down his deal he will pay her one million dollars.
At the hospital, Amber is concerned about Daniel’s safety when he returns to prison. Daniel can see the fear in his brides face and suggests they take advantage of the time they have together. Deacon calls Amber’s cell phone and tells her he is sorry for Daniel’s “accident” and reminds Amber how dangerous prison can be. Daniel tells Amber not to be afraid of Deacon and reminds her they will have a future together. He tries to distract her by giving her an imaginary Christmas present. He describes a new cell phone, encrusted with pink crystals, with a screen saver of their wedding picture.
In the meantime, Nick meets Phyllis at the landfill and offers to help her with the search. Phyllis realizes they are looking for a needle in a haystack. Michael, Lauren and half of Genoa City show up to help her, Katherine Chancellor included. Phyllis is overwhelmed by her friends’ generosity. Heather arrives and Phyllis is surprised Michael called her.
As Daisy tells Ryder he needs to be more careful, Abby calls and tells her she is at the landfill helping her family find the evidence to free Daniel. Ryder tells Daisy to get over there. She arrives and Lauren is glad she came to help. Eden finds the gym bag and Heather searches the contents. The black ski cap Daniel insists was worn by the third man in the alley is in the bag. Heather takes the bag to the police station and Daisy becomes concerned.
Back at the hospital, Amber and Daniel receive a call from Phyllis telling them they found the bag of evidence at the landfill. The couple is thrilled to finally have hope.
At Crimson Lights the scavenger hunters return to celebrate. Katherine tells Jack and Nick about Tucker’s interest in the IPO. She tells them he is interested in the entire 25% offering and apologizes to them for having to withdrawal her offer. She thanks them for their understanding. In the meantime, Eden questions Daisy about her presence at the landfill and Daisy becomes defensive. Later Eden tells Lauren not to trust Daisy but Lauren thinks otherwise. Lauren questions Ryder about his whereabouts the night she found the rat in her store and once again he evades her questions. Later Lauren talks with her exterminator about the rat. He tells her the rat in question was purchased at a pet store and she realizes the critter was planted there.
Phyllis remains at the landfill and finds the cells phone in question. She later meets Nick at Crimson Lights but does not tell him about her discovery. She receives a call from Amber telling her of the previous conversation she had with Deacon and is concerned about Daniel’s safety in prison. Phyllis tells Nick she will meet him later and leaves to find Deacon.
Michael and Heather arrive at the hospital and tell Daniel Heather has requested a bail hearing. Unfortunately it will not be for a few days and Daniel needs to return to prison. Daniel thanks his friends for their help. He takes a package from Kevin and gives it to Amber. It is the cell phone he described earlier. Daniel is escorted back to prison where he finds Billy Abbott as his new cell mate.
Phyllis meets Deacon at the Athletic Club with the cell phone containing his voice messages. Deacon tells Phyllis she does not have enough evidence to send him to jail. She makes Deacon an offer he can’t refuse. If he leaves town with Amber, she will not give the phone to the Feds. Nick arrives and asks his wife why she is talking with Deacon. She tells him she is hungry, and they walk away. Deacon is intrigued with Phyllis’s offer.
Jill arrives home at the Chancellor Estate and Murphy tells her Katherine is with Tucker finalizing their deal. When Katherine returns home Jill congratulates her. Later Jack arrives at Tucker’s and introduces himself. Tucker tells him he has followed his career and regrets not knowing John. After Jack leaves, Tucker is sure he has most of his players in place.

Today’s Recap of The Young and the Restless December 10, 2009
As Katherine and Murphy enjoy a game of gin, she confides to him she is unsure of her recent decision to take Chancellor Industries public. She tells him she is paving the way to leave and admits she is doing this for Jill. Katherine is uncertain whether to allow a powerful man like Tucker McCall to invest in Chancellor. Jill calls and asks about the IPO. Katherine tells her of her concerns and Jill tells Katherine they will know more after their meeting with Mr. McCall tomorrow.
In the meantime, while Jill is in New York, she meets an intriguing bartender. After he serves Jill her morning coffee, he joins her. He introduces himself as Mick and begins to flirt with her. Jill thinks he looks familiar, but can’t place him. After Jill speaks with Katherine on the phone, Mick asks about her conversation. When she starts talking business she thinks she is boring him, he tells her he can see she is passionate about her work. Paul calls Jill and tells her he has a lead on Katherine’s daughter. Later Jill leaves Mick a tip with her name and number on it.
Heather arrives at Restless Style and asks Billy who his source was that leaked Victoria’s confidential testimony to the Grand Jury. Billy is not forthcoming.
Phyllis meets Paul at the Athletic Club where he shows her the surveillance photos from the night of the shooting. They show a man in black wearing a black ski mask and carrying a gym bag, exactly as Daniel described in his testimony. Phyllis is certain the police should reopen the investigation but Paul is not so sure. As Paul is leaving Murphy enters and Paul tells him Jill hired him to find Katherine’s long lost daughter. He asks Murphy for his discretion. Murphy agrees but suggests to Paul there may be ramifications in finding her.
At the prison, Deacon meets with another inmate. As he is leaving he runs into Amber. She tells him when they find the proof of Daniel’s innocence he will be behind bars. He leaves as Daniel enters to see his wife.
As JT is preparing for a meeting, Victoria asks to talk. He is overloaded and asks his wife to postpone their discussion until the weekend. As he is leaving she asks him about the position Nick offered her in Dubai. He asks her again if they can discuss it later. Billy arrives with flowers and apologizes to Victoria for the article. When Victoria realizes Billy came to get her side of the story, she leaves. JT tells Billy to back off of Victoria and tells him he is not a journalist, he’s an opportunist. Billy reminds JT he is just a security guard.
Later Victoria arrives at Katherine’s and tells her she is interested in the IPO. Katherine tells Victoria she is aware she is going through a difficult time and suggests she confide in her. Victoria tells her she does not know how to fix her marriage. Katherine suggests to her JT is probably not ready to trust her yet. She encourages her to find something to make her own life better. When Victoria tells Katherine she needs to go back to work, Katherine offers her a job. She thanks Katherine and tells her wherever she works, it will not change things between her and JT.
At Crimson Lights Phyllis shows the surveillance photos to Amber and both think they have what they need to help Daniel. When Phyllis shows the photos to Heather, she tells her they are useless. Heather insists she has a solid case against Daniel and is not willing to reopen the investigation. Phyllis tells her she will prove her wrong. Victoria arrives and asks the DA what he is going to do about Billy Abbott’s publication of her sealed testimony. In the meantime, Deacon overhears the conversation between Phyllis and Amber and makes a call stating it’s time to deliver the message.
Later Amber returns to the prison and tells Daniel about the photos. The same inmate Deacon met with earlier seems to be stalking Daniel.
Back at the Athletic Club Paul meets with JT. Paul feels JT’s new job suits him well. When asked about his marriage, JT tells Paul he and Victoria may be taking a break. He tells Paul he has forgiven Victoria for her indiscretion. Paul assures JT it is not easy to completely let it go. JT thinks Paul is right. Later Victoria meets JT and both seem to have let their guard down. When JT tries to approach Billy, he and Victoria witness Billy being served with a summons to reveal his source.

Today’s Recap of The Young and the Restless December 1, 2009
As Adam awakens in Sharon’s bed, she wishes him a good morning. He reminds her of the three words he spoke to her last night and she changes the subject. They hear Noah’s voice downstairs. Sharon makes it obvious she does not want her son to know Adam is there. Later Adam tries again to talk with Sharon and she walks away claiming she needs to clean the kitchen. When she returns Adam asks her why she is avoiding him. He tries to clarify his meaning of “I love you” by telling her he loves being with her. She assures him she will not runaway again and thanks him for the explanation. She makes it clear she is not ready for a serious relationship and Adam tells her to join the club. Noah returns home and is surprised to see Adam there. After another close call, Adam leaves.
At the tack house Nick tells Phyllis her actions have helped him to heal. Nick leaves as Michael and Daniel arrive. Phyllis knows the news is not good when she sees her son and friend at her front door first thing in the morning. After they tell her about the subpoena Daniel goes outside. She asks Michael how bad it is. He tells her he is concerned about the evidence the DA already has on Daniel. Phyllis pleads with Michael to become super human to defend her son.
As Ashley sings a lullaby to Faith, Jack arrives at the Abbott Cabin. He offers to bring Ashley home but she is determined to stay. Ashley tries to convince her brother to get his own life in order and to stay out of hers. Jack tells her she is right about him and shares with her what he saw at Sharon’s last night. Ashley starts to defend Adam and Jack does not like what his sister has to say. Later, as Jack is leaving, she encourages him to pursue his relationship with Emily and leave herself and Sharon alone.
Victoria and JT enjoy breakfast at the Athletic Club. Victoria becomes concerned when JT tells her he may not be home in time to celebrate Reed’s birthday. In the middle of their discussion, Victoria is served a subpoena to appear in front of the Grand Jury. Deacon is served as well. JT, who is in a hurry to get to work, tells Victoria not to worry. She tells him she is planning to discuss with Nick her intentions of returning to Newman. JT is not pleased. Nick arrives and is concerned about his sister’s well being. She tells him about the subpoena and JT’s demanding job. She claims being a stay-at-home mom with a tarnished reputation is not what her life is supposed to be. Nick reminds her JT loves her very much and she needs to support him right now. She asks about returning to Newman but Nick thinks she needs to wait until the SEC issue settles down. He invites his sister to join him in the Chancellor Stock offering. As she leaves Nick promises her things will get better.
Dr. Peterson joins Paul at Crimson Lights. Paul tells her he is concerned about his sister’s welfare, particularly about her doctor’s relationship with Jack Abbott. He questions Emily’s judgment. She asks Paul to respect her boundaries and Paul feels there is a conflict of interest. She tells him Patty will never be able to enter the real world. He assures her for Patty’s sake, her and Jack are a bad idea. Later at Crimson, Victoria asks Heather if it was necessary to subpoena her. Heather finds it amusing Victoria would have the nerve to ask her for a favor. She tells Victoria she looks forward to seeing her squirm. Later Adam arrives and Heather apologizes to him for the things she said the last time they saw each other. He does not give her much time. As he is leaving she wishes him well with his new beau. Michael enters and assures Heather Daniel is innocent. Heather tells Michael it is a done deal.
At Indigo Amber approaches Deacon and tells him to fix the situation Daniel is in. As he shows her his own subpoena, he tells her she had her chance and blew it. Later Phyllis arrives and asks Deacon what he plans on telling the Grand Jury. She reminds him he is responsible for setting Daniel up. Deacon claims she is very hot when she is angry. Phyllis tells Deacons he has no idea what she is capable of. After she leaves, Deacon makes a call to the master of his schemes and tells her he is no longer willing to be a part of them.
Back at Sharon’s, Nick arrives. He tells her about the memorial for Faith Phyllis had made at the Abbott Cabin. Sharon becomes irrationally irate and accuses Nick of making this decision without her. She tells a stunned Nick to leave.
Jack runs into Emily at the Athletic Club. She tells him about the conversation she had with Paul. Jack hopes it will not discourage Emily from having another date with him and she assures him that it will not because she and Jack are not serious. Jack thinks otherwise.
Later Daniel becomes annoyed with Amber for meeting with Deacon. As he leaves Phyllis tells Amber she wants her and Daniel to leave the country.

Today’s Recap of The Young and the Restless November 11, 2009
At Crimson Lights Michael tells Daniel he may be back in the hot seat regarding the previous murder charge against him. Michael tries to discuss Ryder’s case with him and assures his client he should be afraid of the outcome. Once again he asks Ryder about his alibi and Ryder refuses to answer. Michael begins to interrogate him and Ryder tells him he’s wasting his time. Michael runs a search on Ryder’s license plates and later presents Ryder with proof of his alibi. He shows him a photo of his car at a traffic light in Chicago at the time of the murder. There are two people in the car and Michael questions Ryder who his passenger was.
Jack sees Nick at Crimson and asks him about Adam’s living arrangements with Ashley. Both agree he is not to be trusted and each will keep an eye on him.
Meanwhile at Daniel and Amber’s apartment Phyllis arrives and they tell her they have set a wedding date. Phyllis is visibly not happy. Amber leaves to meet with Katherine. Phyllis accuses Daniel of being out of his mind to want to marry Amber but realizes there is something else on her son’s mind. He tells her he is not sure if there is going to be a wedding, but not because of what she is thinking. He tells her about Ryder’s alibi and he is concerned he will become a suspect again. Phyllis assures Daniel his innocence will save him and she will do everything she can to help him. She suggests he come clean with Amber and encourages him not to keep secrets from her.
Adam returns home to the ranch from his business trip. Ashley wants to discuss business with him. She feels since Nick became in charge at Newman, Adam will never have a future there. She tells him she has something in the works and would like to bring him on board.
At Jabot, Katherine follows-up with Neil. After they commiserate about their hospitalized loved ones, they turn the conversation to business and the stock offering. Katherine tells Neil about her conversation with Jack. Neil is concerned about Jack’s next move, but Katherine seems prepared. Ashley arrives and speaks with Neil about Chancellor’s new challenges. Neil realizes she is on a fishing expedition. Jack arrives and is surprised to see his sister there. Later after the Abbotts leave, Katherine and Neil agree the Abbotts are planning a large purchase of Chancellor Stock in order to get Jabot. Both agree they will not let this happen.
Later at the Athletic Club, Amber runs into Deacon. He tells her he is happy for her. She meets with Katherine and thanks her for allowing her to have the wedding at her estate. Katherine reminds Amber she is family to her. Amber begins to reflect back on the mistakes she made in the past and Katherine reminds her everyone has done things they are not proud of.
At Newman Adam meets with Nick. He offers his services to Nick in Victoria’s absence. Nick declines and asks Adam to stay for a meeting with the employee who has been accused of making the call to the SEC. Adam reflects back to when he placed the call using a cell phone left in the Newman break room. She arrives and is drilled by Nick, Michael and Adam. She tells Nick she never made the call. He tells her the cell phone records indicate otherwise and transfers her to their offices in Milwaukie. After she leaves Adam tells Nick he thinks he is doing the right thing. Nick questions Adam’s sudden support and warns him if he had anything to do with the investigation, he will pay.
Later Ryder meets Deacon at his suite. He wants to know if Deacon has heard from his mother. When he learns there has been no communication, Ryder demands to know what plan B is. Deacon tells him there is none. He also tells him he has made sure his son is protected and is through with any plans that involve her. He throws Ryder out.
Amber returns home. As Daniel tries to tell her his concerns about his future, Michael calls with the news of Ryder’s alibi. She asks him about the phone call and he tells her he can’t marry her.
An irate Phyllis arrives at Deacon’s and reminds him to stay away from her son. Phyllis thinks Deacon is pulling Ryder’s strings and he tells her he is not calling the shots. He has his own son to protect and the situation is out of his hands. She tells him he needs to call the police or he will be going to jail. No doubt the most heated scene on The Young and the Restless in a long time and I don’t mean Phyllis’s anger.
Later at the Athletic Club, Jack and Ashley share a drink and discuss the Chancellor stock offering. Ashley convinces Jack she is not interested. If Jack only knew what his sister was up to, he would not be smiling.

Today’s Recap of The Young and the Restless October 27, 2009
At Newman, Adam seems quite pleased with the results of his ploy regarding the SEC investigation. He asks Michael if he could help him try to determine who made the call to the SEC. Michael tells Adam to find someone else to help him score points with his father. During the hearing with the SEC, Victoria assures the investigators when she made the statement concerning Victor’s health, she was confident about his recovery. Deacon enters stating he is a stockholder. He declares himself a character witness on Victoria’s behalf. He tells the investigators he and Victoria have had several business dealings together and verifies her trustworthiness. Nick seems annoyed by Deacon’s presence and leaves. Victoria asks Deacon why he went to bat for her. He tells her he was hoping they could reconnect again. As Deacon and Victoria are talking in the Newman hallway, JT enters, slugs Deacon, and tells him to stay away from his wife. A noble gesture but Victoria and Nick wish it was not in front of the SEC.
Victor arrives at the ranch. Ashley isn’t happy his visit is unannounced and wants to establish ground rules for the future. He tells her he owns the ranch and can come and go as he pleases. Ashley demands Victor to treat her with respect. He thinks she is being irrational again, but she insists she is fine. She tells him she has felt fine since Faith was born. All of her insecurities from the pregnancy vanished when she realized her baby was healthy. She thanks Victor for giving her their girls but asks him to leave her alone. He agrees. Later Phyllis visits Ashley and admires Faith. Ashley tells her the cost of being a Newman is too high and wants to keep her girls away from the dark side. Phyllis tells her if she wants all of the privileges of being a Newman she has to accept the bad as well.
At Crimson Lights Amber and Lauren discuss Amber’s fashion line. Lauren tells her the jackets are not selling well. Amber asks Lauren for a job but there are no openings. Phyllis interrupts and tells Lauren she would be crazy to hire Amber. Phyllis accuses Amber of not having Daniel’s best interest at the heart because of her involvement with Deacon. Lauren asks Amber if she learned anything about Ryder from Deacon. She tells Lauren not to trust him.
As Jana and Kevin are straightening out their apartment they find a picture of Ryder from his youth that is torn. Ryder enters and becomes angry the two are looking through his things. Kevin and Ryder leave and Jana continues to look at the photo. Later Amber arrives with a Ouija Board. The girls ask the board about Amber’s future in fashion. The board spells out the word “dead”. They ask if Daniel will love her forever and the board replies with the same answer. They then ask who the missing person in the photo is with Ryder. The board answers “dead” again. They both agree the missing person in the photo is dead. The board answers “no”.
Later at Victor’s suite Victor tells Michael of the changes he is planning. He is leaving Genoa City to spend some time at a cardiac rehab facility. He tells him he is still concerned about Ashley’s well being and asks his trusted attorney to keep an eye on her. Victor also tells Michael he has confidence in his children’s ability to run Newman Enterprises in his absence and asks him to give Adam more responsibility. Michael does not think this is a good idea. He tells Victor Nicholas and Victoria work well together because they trust each other. Neither can say the same about Adam. Adam arrives with the phone records indicating one of Victor’s assistants called the SEC. Nick arrives and tells his father what just transpired between JT and Deacon. Victor tells Nick his plans and suggests he give Adam more responsibility at Newman. Nick doesn’t agree. Victor tells him he doesn’t have a choice. Nick is concerned by doing this it will open the door for Adam to stab them in the back again. Victor is certain it will not happen.

Today’s Recap of The Young and the Restless October 20, 2009
There is a whirlwind of second chances today on The Young and the Restless.
At Restless Style Phyllis tells Nick Billy offered to buy the magazine. Nick is surprised Phyllis is considering selling the magazine because it was her dream. She reminds him it wasn’t her dream, it was their dream. She tells him he has returned to Newman Enterprises and she is running Restless Style alone. Nick tries to convince her not to sell out because he bailed on her. He’s proud of the work she has done there. Nick suggests she look for a co-editor to help ease her load.
As Billy and Mac are sharing a cup of coffee at Crimson Lights Chloe interrupts them and tells Mac the real reason Billy wants to buy Restless Style is because she works there. Billy obviously has not told Mac and she is surprised by the news of his new venture. Mac and Chloe continue to trade barbs at each other. Mac approves of Billy’s plan and they celebrate with a kiss. Phyllis calls and asks Billy to meet her at Restless Style. When Billy gets there he is surprised he’s on the receiving end of Nick and Phyllis’s inquisition. Ultimately Chloe comes to Billy’s defense and assures them Billy would be an asset to the magazine. Nick asks him how much he is willing to pay for Restless Style. When he sees the number, he and Phyllis both agree to the sale of the magazine. Billy returns to Crimson to tell Mac the good news and she can’t figure out why he’s not happy about the deal he just sealed. He confesses he’s not sure where he’ll get the money.
In the meantime, Nick asks Phyllis if she’s having second thoughts about selling the magazine. She tells Nick she is sure about her decision but realizes she’ll need a job. She asks him if there may be a position for her at Newman.
Lily and Cane enjoy a well deserved day out. They discuss weather to tell Neil and Devon they have reconciled. Roxanne enters and Lily is glad to see her. She is surprised to see Lily and Cane together. Lily tells Roxanne she needs Cane in her life and she has found a way to forgive him. Roxanne becomes visibly upset and leaves. Lily questions Devon about his relationship with Roxanne. He tells her they broke up. It didn’t take Lily long to figure out he cheated on Roxanne. What came as a shock is when he told her he cheated on Roxy with Tyra. Later Roxanne returns and asks Devon if they can talk. It looks like she’s willing to give Devon a second chance.
Kevin tries to persuade Michael to represent Ryder. Deacon visits Ryder in jail and tells him their partnership is over. Deacon tells him he’s done being intimidated and wants out. Ryder’s mother seems to be pulling the strings. Ryder reminds Deacon he’s still on his mother’s payroll and she has another job lined up for him. Deacon leaves and Ryder is shown on the phone stating to his listener Kevin will be easier to manipulate than Deacon was. Kevin continues to advocate for Ryder. He asks Jana if Ryder can live with them when he’s released from prison. Jana shares her reservations with Michael and Lauren. Later Kevin visits Ryder and posts his bail. He returns with him to Crimson Lights. Jana agrees to let Ryder live with them for one month. She tells Michael and Lauren it’s best to keep your friends close and your enemies closer. Kevin is upset his family is giving Ryder the cold shoulder. Michael offers to represent Ryder. Lauren is perplexed. She later takes Ryder aside and assures him if he causes any harm to her family, he will be sorry. Later Deacon receives a photo of his next assignment, a picture of Michael and Lauren.
Daniel and Amber enjoy a morning in bed together and continue to celebrate their reunion. Daniel is holding Amber’s engagement ring. He tells her how much he loves the ring because of what it stands for. He puts the ring back on her finger and tells her he can’t imagine his future without her being a part of it. She’s elated and realizes she has a wedding to plan. Daniel encourages her to think a little conservatively. They may want to think about finding a bigger place to live rather than spending a lot of money on a wedding. Both agree it’s time they became grown-ups and decide to find jobs.
The future is looking up on The Young and the Restless. Gone are the days of psych wards, funeral homes, hospital rooms. Yes I know Patty is still in a padded cell and Victor is recovering in the hospital but it has been a pleasure to watch the last few days and see beautiful familiar settings. I almost forgot what the offices at Restless Style looked like and glad to see they will be utilized again.

Today’s Recap of The Young and the Restless October 15, 2009
Lily’s quarantine is lifted and Cane takes her to the chapel to give Colleen a proper goodbye. He reassures Lily her love is the only thing he needs. He’s grateful she has opened her heart to him again and convinces her how much he loves her. In a strange way Lily feels her cancer is what kept them together.
Meanwhile Roxanne brings a get well card to Devon for Lily. Devon pleads with her to forgive him for his indiscretion with Tyra. The poor girl’s heart is still broken. Devon tells her how much he misses her and tries to explain how much she means to him. Like most woman who have had their heartbroken by a cheating lover, she looks at him like he’s crazy. She tells Devon she would like to see Lily and he offers to take her.
Victor did not suffer another heart attack. He is slipping in and out of consciousness due to kidney failure from his medication. Phyllis arrives and asks what Adam and Nick are discussing in the hall. Victor informs her Adam has been rehired at Newman. Nick offers Adam the position of Jr. V. P. Adam feels his expertise are not being utilized at the junior level but realizes he needs to prove he is trustworthy. Nicks asks him to take the minutes at the upcoming board meeting. Victoria does damage control concerning the press and Victor’s health. At the meeting she reassures the board members Victor will make a complete recovery and is in stable condition. Later Adam uses another phone to place a call to the SEC notifying them of the false assurances Victoria and Nick gave the board members concerning Victor’s health. Nikki is concerned about Victor’s stress level and bands him from any Newman business. She reassures him he is going to recover and tells him she doesn’t know what she would do without him.
Deacon reminds Amber he can still put Daniel behind bars and asks her to go with him to meet the art dealer who is going buying the Terroni.
At the coffee house Daniel is frustrated when he realizes Amber is with Deacon. Daniel called the police to meet him there. They arrive with Victoria. She claims Daniel has the original Terroni. He unveils it to the police. Victoria explains to everyone her and Daniel’s plan to rescue the real painting and make sure Deacon has the forgery. Daniel is awarded a $25,000 reward from the museum and gives it to Kevin to get Ryder out of jail. He also informs the police the Bardwells aided in his plan to recover the painting. The Baldwins continue to celebrate at the coffee house and Michael is relieved no one is in jail. Kevin asks Michael to help him get Ryder out of jail, never a dull moment in Michael Baldwin’s life.
As Deacon tries to sell the Terroni, the buyer tells him it’s a fake. The buyer is furious with Deacon for wasting his time. Deacon realizes Daniel was behind the switch. He knows he’s been had and says goodbye to Amber. She doesn’t understand why he’s giving up so easily. Deacon explains to her there is more going on than his feelings for her and the painting. He tells her to go to Daniel. After she leaves he takes out a picture of his son and makes a phone call stating things are no longer safe and they need to make a move. Phyllis enters and he introduces himself, she responds with a slap across his face and warns him to stay away from her family.
Back at their apartment, Daniel tries to convince himself his relationship with Amber is over. Amber returns home and Daniel questions her real reason for returning. She tries to tell him she will never leave him again. Everything she did was to protect him and keep him out of jail. He tells her he never stopped loving her.
