At a pub in New York, Billy and Victoria find themselves snowed-in together. Billy asks about her trip to Dubai and Victoria claims she was working hard the whole time. She notices the truck load of presents Billy purchased for Delia’s birthday. Victoria will not be returning home empty handed, she has her own pile of presents for Reed and a gift for JT to celebrate their anniversary. She asks Billy if he listened to her advice while she was gone. He shows her the latest copy of Restless Style with Victor adorning the cover. She becomes annoyed with Billy until he assures her the interview was her father’s idea. After reading the article, Victoria claims she has no comment and asks Billy how he can live with himself. As the duo continues with rounds of verbal volleyball and glasses of green beer, Victoria realizes she is going to miss her anniversary. Billy tries to lift her spirits and crowns her with the princess tiara he bought for Delia. (more…)

Jack arrives home while Emily, Malcolm and Chloe prepare for their engagement portrait. They complete the session and Chloe is anxious to leave for a date with Chance. She suggests while Malcolm is there, Emily should take her bridal portrait as well. As Jack and Malcolm continue to catch-up, Gloria and Jeff arrive. Jack introduces them to Emily and they are stunned by her resemblance to Patty. The Bardwells begin to tease Jack about their interest in Jabot and Jack begins to loose patience. Upon their investment, they request significant positions at Jabot. Jack declines to appoint them and they leave. Emily asks Jack what he has gotten himself into. Jack explains the history he shares with Gloria and Jabot and claims she is a necessary evil. Emily realizes Jack needs additional revenue to purchase Jabot and suggests he be prepared to deal with Ashley’s reaction when she realizes he has involved Gloria. Emily leaves to change into her wedding dress and Malcolm suggests Jack leave. Emily stops him and states they are not superstitious. Later, Jack receives a call from Jeffrey stating he is in. Jack calls Tucker and assures him no one will top their offer for Jabot. Emily returns in her wedding dress and Jack is in awe. (more…)

At the Athletic Club, Phyllis continues to question Adam about his relationship with Dr. Taylor and Adam states it is no mystery. Adam tries to knock Phyllis off her game by agreeing to have a drink with her while Nick and Sharon are enjoying each other’s company at Trimble’s Book Store. He asks if that bothers her and she claims he is being ridiculous. Phyllis tells Adam she cannot wait to see Sharon’s face when she realizes who he really is and questions why Adam is suddenly loosing all of his friends. Phyllis, needing to separate business from family, resigns at Newman. As she kisses her husband goodbye, they are interrupted by Adam requesting Nick’s presence in Victor’s office. The Newman sons, Victor, Jack and Michael review the Tucker’s deal and realize it is solid. Cane arrives and states he will be working at Chancellor and offers his help. As the Knights of the Round Table brainstorm to develop their next move, Victor reminds everyone the goal is to return Chancellor Industries back to Katherine. As Jack and Michael are leaving they run into Phyllis and realize she just quit her job. Jack offers her a job at Jabot but she declines. She does accept Michael’s invitation for coffee. In the meantime, Victor and his sons try to develop a strategy against Tucker. Adam suggests they acquire Tucker’s assets when they become available. Victor is in agreement but Nick reminds his father Newman does not have the available cash they will need. Victor tells Nick not to worry about that and reminds him he is the reason Newman Enterprises is low on funds because of the Cayman Island bank settlement that Nick initiated. (more…)

Today’s Recap of The Young and the Restless November 6, 2009

As Cane and Neil wait for Lily’s test results, Neil extends his hand to a sobbing Cane and realizes the love he has for his daughter. He reminds him he needs to take care of himself so he will be able to take care of Lily. Dr. Peterson enters and introduces herself. Jill arrives and comforts “her son”. As Cane tries to comfort Lily, Dr. Peterson enters her room. She thinks Lily needs to open up and talk about her feelings. Lily confesses she feels the cancer has taken over her life. She tells Dr. Peterson she discovered the cancer when she thought she was pregnant. She mentions Colleen and Dr. Peterson is surprised to learn her and Lily were friends. Lily tells her about the dream she had of Colleen and the message she sent to her. Katherine, Murphy and Mac arrive. Neil is comforted that his new extended family is there to support him.

Earlier at Jabot Jack tells Katherine he knows what she and Jill are up to and wants in. He offers to buy Jabot from Katherine and she turns him down. He realizes Katherine is taking Chancellor public. Murphy enters and offers to take Katherine to the hospital.

While Gloria is serving coffee at Crimson Lights, Jeff is upset with her because of her extravagant lifestyle. Phillip and Nina arrive and notice Chance is there with Chloe. Phillip wants to try to make amends with his son and Nina encourages him to do so. Chloe is receptive to Chance’s apology. As she tries to elaborate about her feelings, Chance’s parents interrupt them. Chloe excuses herself. Phillips thanks his son for giving him some time. Chance apologizes for his outburst earlier. He receives a phone call from Murphy telling him Lily is has had a set back. All but Chance leaves for the hospital.

At Newman, Ashley and Nick discuss the SEC issue. Nick feels the SEC does not have enough evidence against Victor. He thinks a settlement may in order. Ashley becomes annoyed when she realizes Nick is handling the SEC issue alone without consulting the board. Later Billy arrives at Newman and is berated by Ashley. Billy enters Nick’s office and asks him to reconsider evicting him from the Restless Style building. Victoria arrives from New York and both are surprised to see her. Nick tells Billy Newman will be pulling their ads from Restless Style and Billy leaves. Victoria tells Nick she can’t work for Victor and be married to JT at the same time. Nick offers to talk with JT to tell him how much Newman Enterprises needs her. She assures her little brother he is more than capable of handling the family business.

Back at Billy’s make-shift office at Jimmy’s Bar, Billy is surprised to see Chloe. She gives him their unsigned divorce papers. She signs the papers and Billy tells her she will find someone that is good for her. She tells him she thinks she already has.

In the meantime, while Chance is waiting for sandwiches at Crimson Lights, the coffee shop is held up at knife point. Chance intercedes and is stabbed in the process.

Later at the Athletic Club Jack tells Ashley about Katherine’s plans to take Chancellor Industries public. Jack wants her to buy as many shares of Chancellor Stock as she can. He asks her again to return to Jabot. She tells him her priorities have changed and is not interested in Jabot. She reminds him when they worked together in the past it was the “Jack Show”. Jack notices Dr. Peterson and excuses himself. He asks her how her first day on the job was and she seems happy she took the position. Jack offers to buy her a drink. Away from Jack, Ashley makes a phone call to buy as many shares of Chancellor Stock as she can. It looks like the suddenly sane Ashley is following in Victor’s footsteps. As Jack and Dr. Peterson are leaving she trips and winds up in Jack’s arms and he kisses her. It didn’t take “Smiling Jack” long.

Back at Genoa City Memorial, Mac tells Neil and Jill she has no doubt how much Cane adores Lily. Lily apologizes to Cane for scarring him and promises she will not die because Colleen said so. She asks her husband to start planning for their future. Mac enters with the Dr. and he is pleased to see Lily is fever free. Lily shares with Cane and Mac how much she is looking forward to being a mother. Mac offers to be their surrogate. Both Cane and Lily are stunned by Mac’s generosity but agree when the time is right Mac will be the first to know. All are relieved Lily is on the mends and Lily is happy to see her father and husband embrace. As Murphy tries to call Chance to give him the good news he and Katherine learn Chance has just been stabbed and all of the Chancellors hold vigil.

Later at Crimson Lights, Gloria receives a phone call from Michael telling her she will get all of her money back from the bank in the Cayman Islands.

Today’s Recap of The Young and the Restless October 14, 2009

Chloe, still refusing to leave the cabin, makes Billy an offer he can’t refuse. She initiates a wager, which ever team wins at Scrabble gets to stay at the cabin. Billy and Chloe continue verbal and spelled jabs at each other until Chance spells the word virgin. Both Billy and Mac are surprised. Billy continues to fling digs at Chloe until Chance finally steps in and tells Billy all of the qualities he admires in Chloe. Chance and Chloe leave and Billy and Mac have the cabin to themselves. Billy thinks he’s won but Mac thinks otherwise.

Victoria and Nick pay Adam a visit at the ranch. They both tell him under no uncertain terms to stay out of Newman business. They both suggest to Adam his actions were to regain Victor’s trust and wonder what other motives he may have.

Amber is still awestruck with the necklace Deacon gave her as her wedding present. He enters his suite and is pleased she is wearing it. He promises her once he sells the Terroni there will be more gifts like that in her future. He insists he will sell the Terroni tonight.

At the coffee house Daniel tells Kevin he feels Amber has played him again. He feels she is still interested in Deacon. As Kevin looks for the Terroni he realizes it’s gone. He tells Daniel Gloria suggested he move it to keep it safe. He puts the pieces together and knows his mother was the thief. Amber enters and tells them Deacon is planning on selling the Terroni tonight. Amber tells Daniel the only reason she is staying close to Deacon is to find out what he is up to concerning the painting. She tries to convince him she loves only him.

At the athletic club Jeff greets Gloria who has the Terroni with her and is waiting for Deacon. Jeff is curious what Gloria has in the tube. She tells him it’s the Terroni and she will receive a $25,000 reward from the museum for its’ return. He’s not impressed and wonders over to the bar. Deacon arrives and asks to see the painting. Before Gloria allows Deacon to take it she insists on his reassurance she will receive her share. He tells her he’s hired an art expert to verify the painting is the original and invites her to his suite to ease her mind. On her way she is interrupted by Kevin who demands the Terroni back. Gloria insists she does not have the painting. Jeff overhears the painting is worth millions and not thousands. Victoria meets Deacon and the art appraiser in his suite. As Gloria arrives the appraiser verifies the painting’s authenticity. Deacon gives the painting back to Gloria. Victoria questions Deacon about his association with Gloria and starts to realize all is not what it seems. Daniel enters and wants to know why Deacon gave the painting back to Gloria. Daniel accuses Victoria of being part of Deacon’s scheme and leaves. Jeff sees Gloria after she leaves Deacon’s suite and asks her how much is his share in the deal. As Jeff removes the painting from the canister he shows Gloria a painting of a clown with the words “you lose” written on it. Later as Amber is packing her things from Deacon’s suite he stops her and asks how Daniel knew his every move this evening.

Michael visits Victor at the hospital and tells him about the deal Adam made on Newman’s behalf. As Victor thanks Michael for the information Adam arrives. Victor tells his son Victoria had every right to call Michael. Adam tells his father he wants him to be able to trust him again. Nick arrives and tells his father Adam never tried to contact him or Victoria concerning the deal. Adam tells him he was trying to help while Nick and Victoria were consumed with other matters. Victor feels Adam deserves another chance to prove himself but needs to prove his trustworthiness. He wants Adam to work under Nicholas and Victoria. Adam insists Victor’s faith in him will not be misplaced. Victor asks Adam to leave so he can have a word with Nicholas alone. Victoria enters and doesn’t understand why her father would allow Adam back at Newman Enterprises. He tells them how helpful Adam was to Ashley during her pregnancy. Victor feels since he’s been given and second chance Adam deserves one as well. Victor suddenly suffers another heart attack.

Today’s Recap of The Young and the Restless October 7, 2009

Nick goes home to the tack house and is greeted by Phyllis and Summer. Phyllis tells him Jack told her the reason Sharon kept the secret of the baby’s paternity. She starts to see Sharon in a different light.  

Sharon receives a package of memorabilia and looks at a picture of the house her and Nick were going to purchase. Phyllis visits Sharon at the Athletic Club and she is surprised to see her. She tells Sharon how sorry she is she lost the baby. She asks her how you ever get over loosing a child. Sharon tells her you never get over it but you learn to move on. She tells Sharon she is grateful for Sharon’s actions when she learned Nick was the baby’s father and Summer was sick. Phyllis realizes her apologizes are falling on deaf ears when Sharon suggests she must be relieved there is nothing tying her to Nick. Phyllis explains to her she feels no relief or triumph in the fact that her daughter died and truly is sorry.

Esther tries to convince Chloe to stop using Chance to get Billy back. Chance arrives at the front door of the Chancellor mansion to pick up Chloe for their date. Considering he lives there as well, an admirable thing to do. Chloe is not excited about going to the Harvest Festival but plays along. As she grudgingly strolls through the carnival atmosphere Chance encourages her to open her mind and enjoy herself. Chance and Chloe bob for apples, a drenched Chloe is actually having fun. Later Chance escorts Chloe home and they begin to kiss. He suddenly stops because he’s aware Chloe is still married to Billy and he feels they need to slow down.

Gloria and Deacon wait in his hotel suite for word on the Terroni. She convinces him she will have the painting by this evening and he will give her 5 million dollars.

In the meantime, Amber, Daniel and Kevin are still trying to come up with a plan to put the Terroni back where it belongs and hold onto their freedom. As they discuss their options Michael walks in and overhears them. He demands to know what they are up to. Michael tries to convince the trio they are in a very dangerous situation and tells them to turn the painting over to the authorities. Gloria enters and claims the painting is rightfully hers. Michael tells her not if the painting is stolen. He advises his loved ones if they do not heed his advice, he will not represent them.

Daniel tells Amber to stay away from Deacon but she decides to visit him anyway. She tells Deacon her heart belongs to Daniel. He gives Amber his wedding gift, a mega-carat diamond necklace. By the look on Amber’s face you realize diamonds are really a girl’s best friend. Daniel arrives and is clearly upset Amber is there. He tells her to take off the necklace or they are over. Amber hesitates and Daniel storms out. Deacon is happy with the results.

At Gloria’s suggestion, Kevin checks on the safety of the painting. As she watches, Kevin moves the painting to another location. After he leaves, Gloria attempts to take the Terroni.

Today’s Recap of The Young and the Restless September 24, 2009

Gloria interrupts Kevin’s plan by showing up at the bank in Detroit. The manager knows something is awry when there are two Mrs. Tom Fishers wanting access to the safety deposit box. Kevin convinces the manager Gloria is his grandmother. Gloria eventually buys into Kevin’s plan and all exit the bank with the Terroni in tow.

Paul finds Nikki at a retreat in the Rockies. He tells her the deranged Mary Jane is in fact his sister Patty. Victor was behind her hidden identity and plastic surgery as another ploy against Jack. He tells her Victor was shot but is recovering. Nikki is surprised her loved ones were worried about her, she wrote them frequently. Paul told her no letters were ever received. She was reluctant to return to Genoa City until she contacted Nicholas while Victor was suffering heart failure.

Traci finds false hope when Colleen moves her hand. All try to convince her it was just a reflex, there is no brain activity. I really wish they would wrap up this storyline soon, it is heart breaking.

When Katherine questions Jill about why she is working as a manicurist, Jill informs her she lost all of her wealth. Katherine is surprised Jill didn’t seek employment in the corporate world. She wants to know Jill’s real reason for wanting to go back to the place in their relationship they started at. As Katherine leaves she gives Jill a check to cover the real estate taxes she owes and then some.

Victor awakens from his surgery and asks about Colleen. Victoria tells him her diagnosis. Ashley apologizes to her niece for not being able to stop the tragic events that took her life. She visits Victor and confronts him. His love for her was not enough to stop him from bringing down the ones she loves. She tells him she was planning on leaving him before she knew he was shot. Her accusations are devastating and cause Victor to have heart failure.

Today’s Episode of The Young and the Restless September 23, 2009

As the Chancellors gather at the estate to embrace some family time, Nina continues to try to protect Chance from Chloe. Phillip and Chance try to convince Mama Nina if Chance can survive Iraq he is more than capable of surviving Chloe. Murphy, in his old so subtle way, tries to sway Chloe’s thinking of not using Chance to get Billy back. In the meantime, Katherine approaches Jill and tries to convince her she no longer wants to argue with her. Jill starts to let her guard down and Katherine asks her for the $100,000 to pay the real estate taxes. Later Katherine tracks down Jill at the nail salon where she’s working and asks for a manicure. It seems like Katherine and Jill have come full circle.

Michael and Lauren try to distance themselves from the current crisis Michael’s family is in. They will not live by their own rules and follow their clan to Detroit.  Amber, disguised as Gloria and Kevin try to gain access to the safety deposit box. As the bank manager is about to let them in, Gloria, with Deacon by her side, swoops in with the grand announcement she is Mrs. Tom Fisher.
