Jack and Patty/Emily return home from their honeymoon. She assures Jack she will help him get Jabot back from Victor. She tells him how much she loves the Abbott home. Jack tells her he has a surprise for her and guides her into the living room where he has her wedding portrait proudly displayed. He tells her how remarkable she is and she tells him it is not true. Jack thinks she does not like the portrait. Patty/Emily begins to struggle with the image of Emily gazing down upon her and tells Jack she is afraid people will think she is vain. She professes her love to her new husband and Jack admits he never expected to have what they share, and states he is elated Dr. Emily Peterson agreed to marry him. She tells him he was right about Jabot and encourages him to take back what is his. Jack leaves and Patty/Emily begins to talk to the portrait of Emily, emphatically stating she is also taking back what is hers. (more…)

At Crimson Lights, Kevin is frantic by Jana’s disappearance. Michael and Lauren arrive and agree it is unlike Jana not to return home. Kevin tells them about their dinner last night at the Athletic Club and her obsession with Ryder and Daisy. Michael questions whether they could be involved with Jana’s disappearance. Lauren defends Daisy by stating that is not possible, claiming Daisy is a good kid. All continue to look for Jana. Michael continues his investigation at the Athletic Club and tells Kevin Jana left willingly. The manager told Michael he was under the impression Kevin and Jana were fighting and their marriage was over. Kevin states he misunderstood and tells Michael he thinks the elevator malfunction was part of a bigger plan. Kevin looks to Ryder and Daisy for answers. Daisy arrives at Crimson Lights and Lauren questions her whereabouts last night. Daisy provides an alibi and Lauren tells her about Jana’s disappearance. Lauren tells her Jana discovered she and Ryder have known each other a long time and tells her she can no longer trust her. Daisy pretends she is hurt and tells Lauren she is like family to her. Meanwhile, Kevin tracks down Ryder who also provides an alibi. Later, Jana is shown unconscious, lying outside  in a fenced in area,with Daisy and Ryder looking on. (more…)

A bikini clad Patty/Emily joins Jack in their honeymoon suite and suggests a shower before dinner. Jack claims she is going to wear him out and she admits that is her plan. Jack calls Ashley with information about Victor and Jabot. Back in bed Patty/Emily continues to devour Jack. He states the last few days he has seen sides of her he did not know existed and thinks her actions are about Patty. He tells her he knows how hard she worked on Patty’s case and thinks she is using sex as a distraction. She admits she feels like she failed her and tells Jack he is right. He reminds her not to allow guilt to run her life and tells her she can always talk with him about her troubles. She claims talking right now is not high on her list of things she wants to do with him. Ashley returns Jack’s call and tells him not to think about Jabot and encourages him to focus on his new bride. Patty/Emily asks Jack about Jabot and he tells her Victor once again owns his family’s business. Jack continues to vent his frustrations about Victor and Patty/Emily suddenly states they are ending their honeymoon and returning home tonight. She tells Jack if he wants to go after Victor, she will be behind him 100 percent. Jack questions her change of heart and is surprised to see this side of his new bride. (more…)

Malcolm signs his contract with Restless Style and Billy is thrilled to have him on board. Lily arrives and offers to take Malcolm out to celebrate. He suggests they return to Lily’s apartment because there is something he wants to privately discuss with her. Malcolm asks Lily if she would consider working with him on his Restless Style debut. He wants to tell a story of survival and thinks Lily would be the perfect spokesperson. She is hesitant at first because she never wanted cancer to define her. He refers to her as a warrior and claims he understands she does not want to be the poster girl for cancer but suggests they take a few test shots. He assures her if she is not happy, he will drop the entire idea. Lily returns wearing a wig for the first time. She admits to Malcolm putting the wig on makes her feel like she is surrendering. Lily and Malcolm view the photos and she is pleased with the results. Cane arrives and assumes Malcolm is trying to exploit Lily. Malcolm leaves and Lily tells her husband he should have not jumped to conclusions. Cane admits he does not trust Malcolm. Lily tells Cane Malcolm has made her see herself through new eyes. Cane is concerned Lily may not want her story made public. She tells him she may be helpful to someone else walking in her shoes. Cane still believes his wife was crying when he returned home but she convinces him they were happy tears. Lily admits she saw strength and courage in the photos. She recalls previous photo shoots and realizes beauty is truly from within. Cane is moved by his wife’s revelation. (more…)

Katherine arrives at the Athletic Club to join the meeting of the minds about the Chancellor reacquisition. Neil assures her they have many tricks up their sleeves. Cane enters and pleads with Katherine not to blame herself. Neil claims Tucker has called a meeting with all of the department heads of Chancellor Industries. Jill calls Cane and requests his presence at the meeting. Katherine slips and tells Cane Jill is sleeping with Tucker. Cane is devastated Jill lied to him. Katherine is convinced Jill was involved in Tucker’s plan from the beginning. (more…)

Today’s Recap of The Young and the Restless October 28, 2009

Nikki returns to Victor’s suite. He tells her he is leaving for Belgium and asks her to go with him. She tells him she needs to discuss it with the children before she can give him an answer but assures him if she decides to go it will only be to oversee his recovery. Victor asks her again about their future together and she tells him she’s afraid. He tells her she was right when she told him he would never love another woman like he loves her. Abby enters and she assumes Nikki is the reason her mother and father are divorcing.

As Kevin and Jana prepare for their family dinner party Michael and Lauren arrive. Jana tells Lauren about the photo and the Ouija board. The ladies agree Ryder is hiding something. Michael tries to convince them to behave this evening for Kevin’s sake. Ryder enters and thanks everyone for coming on his behalf. Lauren and Jana decide to play 20 questions with Ryder as the target. He becomes offended.

At Crimson Lights Gloria and Jeff see a copy of the Restless Style issue featuring Victor Newman. As the Bardwells read the expose on Victor, they realize Victor had insider information on the now defunct bank at the Cayman Islands where they lost all of their money.   

Meanwhile at Restless Style Mac enters and is upset with Billy for writing the story about Victor. She tells him Traci’s act of kindness could have ended the Newman – Abbott war forever but this article will start the feud all over again. She tells Billy his actions were cruel. Mac leaves as Sharon and Ashley enter. Ashley is furious with her little brother for using the money she lent him to attack Victor. She reminds Billy that Victor is the father of his nieces. Billy insists it was a business decision. Ashley tells him his profits are going to hurt a lot of people.

As Nick helps Noah settle into Sharon’s new home, he is pleased to see Sharon happy and tells her he is proud of her. Nick notices a photo of Cassie and they reminisce about the past. Noah enters with a copy of Restless Style. Nick is furious and leaves to tell Victor. Sharon is upset because she just accepted a job at the magazine. She tells Noah she is going to quit.

Ashley arrives at Victor’s suite and Nikki excuses herself. Abby tells her parents she believes Colleen’s death was Patty’s fault, not Victors. Victor apologizes to his daughter for the pain his parents are causing her. She tells them she doesn’t understand why her family is falling apart and leaves. Ashley questions Victor about his plans to leave Genoa City and wants to know if it has anything to do with her. He tells her he feels bad for the pain he has caused her but assures her upon his return he will take an active role in his daughter’s lives.

The Bardwells arrive at the Fishers. Gloria and Jeff tell Michael about the article. They suggest to him, as “their” lawyer, he needs to prove Victor had insider information. He reminds them he works for Victor and it would be a conflict of interest. Gloria plays the “mom” card and reminds her son she gave him life.

Meanwhile Jana and Lauren continue to drill Ryder and he still evades their questions. There is an emergency at Crimson and Ryder volunteers to attend to it. After he leaves Kevin reads Jana and Lauren the riot act for alienating his brother. Later Lauren and Jana agree to work together to find out what Ryder is hiding. Michael tells Lauren he agreed to help Gloria. Mac enters and asks to speak with Kevin. He is surprised she would seek his advice concerning Billy. He tells her Billy will keep breaking her heart as long as she lets him.

Nick arrives at his father’s suite and shows him the magazine. Nick tells his father if he knew Billy was going to attack him he would have never let Phyllis sell Restless Style. Nick asks his father what he wants to do about it. Victor tells his son he does not want to do anything because he feels he needs to protect Abby. Nick tells Victor he is not willing to let this go. After Nick leaves Victor and Nikki share a tender moment and Victor presents her with a ring.

Nick arrives at Restless Style. He tells Billy he may own the magazine but he still owns the building and throws him out.
